Clear golden, white head. Malty, grainy aroma. Sweet malty and grainy flavour, mild hoppy bitterness.

Frothy white good mostly diminishing head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Sample @ Martin tasting. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, corn and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 221125

21/10/2025. Draft at Trotter’s Bar, Tirana International Airport. My traditional farewell to Albania beer. Poured clear amber bronze with a creamy/frothy off-white head. Looked very different to the pale golden beer I had here in July. I asked the waiter and showed him different pictures. He said they have changed the recipe and now brew it stronger/darker (quote "before it was like water"). He said it used to be 4.0% and now it’s 4.5%. Aroma is malty, bready, lightly toasted, butter popcorn, lightly fruity, touch caramel. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. No unpleasant edge to this one. Decent body, quite smooth, average carbonation. Premium/amber now not pale/golden. A big step up from the previous recipe.

1/7/2025. Draft at Trotter’s Bar, Tirana International Airport (it’s downstairs after duty free by gate G14) Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is malty, herbal, grassy, caramel, buttery, yeasty. Moderately sweet with medium bitterness. There’s an unpleasant edge to the taste. Not a highlight of the trip but good to find a new beer at the airport. Waiter confirmed it was 4.0% abv but was vague about where it was made.
