Pours dense opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, hazelnut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, light smoke/char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, hazelnut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a fantastic hop/roast bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 7% after the finish. Overall this is an incredible flavored coffee stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, hazelnut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish. Fantastic soft/silky feel for the ABV. Fantastic balance of rich malts, hazelnut, vanilla, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with light earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Pretty much perfectly balanced between all flavors. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

473ml can. Canned Sep 2019. Crisp, massively hoppy and tropical fruity with some citrus, pine, mango and pineapple. Quite hoppy and pretty good. 8-4-9-4-16. Re-rated on 21.5.2022. Feels more balanced and tastier. Great DIPA.

Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; awesomely soft feel. Awesome Simcoe, Citra, Nugget profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. No complaints.
