Manifested on 2/15/2016. Thanks Drew.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy golden orange color with a thin wisp of a white head. Light lacing spider webs nicely around the glass.
The smell starts off with a sharp sweet to crisp and bitter onion and grassy hop oils leading into bitter grapefruit pulp and rind. Light pine swarms in underneath.
The taste takes on the bittersweet orange rind persona well. Bitterness accustoms itself well into the aftertaste and finish. Mostly a wet bittersweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing a bitter juicy citrus quality to hit my tongue.
Overall, this confirms the idea that great beer can be found anywhere. Find this gem, and you’ll find your Diamond in the rough in the South.

Crowler thanks to Rob. Pours a turbid orange with medium frothy white head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit, dank, pine. Medium mouth, juicy, citrus, dank, light bitterness, very impressive.

On tap @ Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Aroma is a bit spicy and hoppy hops. Fair amount of citrus and fruity notes. Flavor could be drier as it does have some residual sweetness. Kind of strong on the booze. Hops are pretty nice. Don’t get me wrong, I like high alcohol farmhouse ales as much as the next guy (especially the rustic ones by CIB), but the alcohol in this rew is a tad too high for my liking.

On tap @ dba New Orleans. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Tons of green hips and citrus in the nose. Tangerine, mango. A bit sourish taste. Moderately to highly bitter. A bit sweet. Twangy. OK but not something I’d order again.
