Bottle pour at Lost Cause, pours a deep dark mahogany, like a red wine. Aroma brings out lots of dark red grape skins, complex honies, and light fruitiness. Flavour reveals a remarkable red grape skin character that melds beautiful with deep, complex honey character and light fruitiness. Deep, complex, vinous finish. Wonderful.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a clear amber golden, no head. Aroma brings out plenty of wildflower honey, port barrels and light red wine. Flavour is very sweet, with treacly toffee, light vinous notes and sherry. I wish there was more vinous character. It's good but seems like it's not totally harnessing the barrels. Very good overall.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a filthy dark amber brown, no head. Aroma brings out toasted hazelnuts, pithy raspberries and honey. Flavour is rich and truculent, with dark raspberries, a hint of toasted nuts and deep honey sweetness. A little sludgy on the palate, with a very sweet, thick palate. A bit rough but it's very tasty.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a clear golden, o head. Aroma is full of complex honey, with medium sweetness and gentle floral notes. Flavour is decadent and complex, with intense honey, light floral notes, melon, and heavy sweetness. Intense, complex and beautifully made.

Bottle at Lost Cause, pours a deep dark mahogany — looks like a cab sav. Aroma is full of intense black currants and raspberries upfront, followed by honey, and a hint of vanilla. Flavour is unbelievably intense and decadent, with a ridiculously decadent dark fruit character — lots of black currant and raspberries — with impeccable honey depth and a hint of vanilla. Complex, elegant, and rich. Lovely.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a clear ros� pink colour, no head. Aroma brings out plenty of orange blossom, wildflower honey, light vanilla and pomegranate. Flavour is very complex and heavily sweet, with intense orange blossom honey, followed by vanilla and a hint of pomegranate. Intensely treacly and heavily sweet but this is damn tasty and complex. Excellent.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a murky dark amber / mahogany, no head. Aroma is full of cinnamon, stone fruits, boozy barrels and honey. Flavour is intense, with loads of boozy peaches and apricots, oak barrels, and cinnamon. Not complex but there's a lot of flavours there that work harmoniously enough. Fun stuff.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out wildflower honey, light bees wax, and medium sweetness. Flavour is medium-heavy sweet, with light bees wax, wildflower honey, and intense sweetness. Reasonably complex, with lots of heavy honey sweetness. Good stuff but not that complex.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours an opaque orange juice-like colour, no head. Aroma is full of juicy mangoes and liquid banana, with subdued honey. Flavour is juicy and banana-heavy, with truculent banana juice and mango juice. Juicy but not mead-like. It's alright.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of tropical pineapple juice, floral hops, and sweet honey. Flavour is sweet and rather cheap, with pineapple juice, subdued honey, and light floral hops. Juicy, pineapple-y, but not very mead-like. Decent.
