Appearance: Cloudy deep red with a small off-white head od low retention. Aroma: Pleasant funk, basement, cherry, caramel, autumn leaves. Taste: Surprisingly bland. caramel & faint cherry. Mouth feel: Medium body, soft carbonation. Summary: Controversial.

Bottled. Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is toffee, some vanilla, roasted and mild alcohol tones. Flavour is roasted, some caramel, mild herbal tones with some vanilla and mild liquorice with some alcohol sweetness to it as well.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is slightly acidic fruits, wood, red wine and alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, red wine, some fruity and mild toffeeish tones. Super sweet aftertaste.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is grainy, some rye, alcohol, some earthy notes as well. Flavour is roasted, some rye, alcohol and mild berries with a bit more toasted rye in the finish.

Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black, moderate tan head of good retention. Aroma and taste: dark malts, rye bread, treacle, esters, subtle oak barrel, only a hint of alcohol, a lot og hop. Moderately sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: Full body, soft carbonation. Summary: Pretty tasty. Balanced.

Appearance: Opaque deep brown with a one finger tall beige head of medium retention. Aroma: Roasted barley, toast, coconut, chocolate, dark bread. Taste: Light sweet and bitter. Roasted & toasted, dark chocolate, coconut, hop, strangely enough some pepper in the ending. Mouth feel: Medium body, flat to soft carbonation. Overall: Decent.

Appearance: Misted gold with a moderate white airy head of medium retention. Atoma and taste: Pears, stone fruits, lactic notes. Light sweet and sour. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: Run-of-the-mill stuff.

Bottle No. 1543. Dark brown, almost black, thin tan foam. Aroma: very pleasant, moderately sweet, caramel, black bread with molasses and caramel, wine, coffee and chocolate, a little vanilla and good whisky, dark dried fruits. Sweet taste, caramel, chocolate, Scotch whisky, black bread, dried fruits, a little bit of bitterness, caramel and wine, warms, good.

Bottle No. 1247. Copper-colored, almost clear, yellow foam. Aroma: dried apple, caramel, brandy, very vinous, moderately sweet, a little dried figs and raisins. Very sweet taste, green apples, caramel, a little brandy, warms, not bad.
