Been trying to get this at RBS for months, funny how it's always at Bounds.

Can @ Malt & Mold. Pours dark brown with reddish tint against the light, beige creamy head, cocoa-mocha aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter dark chocolate taste with faint coffee flavor, smooth body, long dark chocolate finish. Good stout; not syrupy or soya sauce-like.

Sampled from the tap at As Is. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of grass with earthy citrus and grains underlying. Flavor has lots of grass with some straw and grains backing.

Deep crisp and very clear lighter brown coloured body with a bit of a caramel and toffee glow along with a nice off-white head, about two to three centimetres tall. Aroma of light peat, a ton of brown and caramelised sugars along with some astringent malt with grain, toffee and some earth noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong grain and toffee notes with some earth, peat, malt, alcohol and especially coffee notes around the edges, with the malt and bitterness the strongest throughout. Aftertaste shows a lot of coffee and nutty flavours with some toffee and caramelised, brown sugars with a dose of grain and peat around the edges with some cereal and earth and peat all showing throughout. Overall, a nice and well-balanced beer that shows some great flavours and pungency and perhaps a bit too obtuse for me, but showing some good oat and malty flavours, but a lot of coffee and earth throughout with some subtle, but good complexities. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from The Beer Cave (Bob's Sunoco) in Callaway, Maryland on 06-March-2018 for US$3,49 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 19-April-2018.
