750ml bottle pours a hazy orange with a ring of white head. Nose is like raw saw dust, some fruity, some nail polish, shitty muscat grape. Flavor is like cheap sparkling muscat wine, apple skins, saw dust, band aid (but not in the good way). Dusty finish. Bad, complete drain pour.

Dark and smooth, thick and creamy beige/head. Dark roast grains, nuts, peat, all come through.in taste, aroma is a little more subdued. All around it’s very smooth and mellow, easy to drink. A-

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with off white head. Nose and taste of dank hop, heavy caramel malt, grapefruit peel, buttered biscuit and boiled resin. Lighter medium body.

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of grapefruit, caramel malt, dry toast, hops and resin. Some orange peel. Touch perfumy. Light bodied.

Devil’s Den, Philadelphia tap ($5): Pours golden-pink with white head. Aroma is saison funk, pepper, flowers, and some light citrus. Taste is peppery, dry. Mouthfeel is carbonated.... kind of like seltzer. Easy-drinking and pretty tasty, but perhaps too light.

Keg at Capones, Norristown PA, during their Black Friday bash 29/11/13. Hazed mahogony brown with a good sized light beige head. Nose is bready malts, light toffee, earthy twang, hay, bread dough. Taste comprises light fart, bread dough, fruit cake mix, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, fruity closure. Adequate affair.
