From a bottle at the RB DC gathering on April Fool’s Day 2017 -- thanks of noodleuser. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Brett nose. Flavors of oak, hay and grapefruit.

500mL bottle, capped, no date. Poured into can shaped glass. Heck, I just figured out this is made in Cali, wtf is it doing in PA? I’ve never seen this between the other states but I digress. Well, its a purple beer. Looks like Kool Aid sediment with a fizzy head. Aroma is muddy, poopy berry seeds. Not very appealing to me. Some green berry leaves, earthy. Not what I was expecting. Poop-earth berry with some tartness on the nose. Mouthfeel is a shake like feel with spritzy carbonation trying to cut through it. Flavor has more tartness, drying me out at the end of the flavor. A more tart berry beer with less poop. A little jam in there as well. Flavor much better than aroma.

500mL capped bottle. No gush from popping the cap but lots of head on the pour. A slick pale gold color, hazy. Aroma is bretty for sure, it’s a very dry herbal brett. Dry, bittered, flowery herbs. Flavor is pretty much similar, all brett but not a thoroughly blown up brett. Plus, it feels like there is nothing left in the malts to keep the brett developing in the bottle. I guess what I am saying is that it’s a fine, clean, well-executed brett beer but it’s missing that fun aspect. The brett is missing that little bit of risk and the malts seem to lack sugars for further development. Bottom of the bottle pours a slurry.

At Linköping Beer Expo 2017. Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Tart with apricot, citrus, light wheat and some orange. Soft and easy to drink. A pleasant one.

Bottle bought in San Diego. Hazy dark golden with a large head. Aroma of yeast, flowers and some mild funk. Similar taste. The body was medium as was the bitterness. A decent one, my first one from this brewery.

[1/29/17] Bottle/Can/Crowler/Growler at the RateBeer award ceremony bottle share at Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa. Black. Chocolate, roast, cocoa, vanilla, sweet, rich, full-bodied, a bit of booziness. Great.
