7.5/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 8 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 8
Location: Draft at Right Proper, 5/24/14

Aroma: Sweet aroma of honey and yeast, with a good amount of spice and funk
Appearance: It pours an unclear gold-orange color with a decently white head
Flavor: It tastes much the same, leaning sweet, but there’s enough spice and funk to balance it
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a bit of fizziness, and a mild stickiness
Overall Impression: Yes, this one does get a little too sweet, but it still has a really enjoyable Saison flavor and some really nice underlying components.

7.6/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 8 Flavor 8 Texture 6 Overall 7.5
Location: Draft at Right Proper, 5/24/14

Aroma: The aroma has some smoked malts/smoked meat, grains, and some citrus
Appearance: Pours a cloudy, pale, yellowish color with a small, fizzy white head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, with a nice mix of smokey flavors to go with the grains
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has an above average carbonation, and a smokey finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really nice example of the style. Well-made stuff and very enjoyable. Another impressive beer from Right Proper. I'd happily drink this again.

8.4/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 8 Flavor 9 Texture 8 Overall 8.5
Location: Draft at Right Proper, 5/24/14, Rating #3700!

Aroma: It has a nice funky nose, some yeast/spice, and a nice amount of fruity hops as well
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a decent head and some lighter lace
Flavor: Flavor is along the same lines, funky and a little dry, yeast/spice, and some hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a crisp mouthfeel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This was my favorite of the beers I tried at Right Proper (and I really enjoyed all the beers I tried, so that's a real compliment). This one really worked for me. It has a nice funky Saison flavor that goes great with the dry, hoppy bitterness.

Not bad for style. Light coriander comes together with light floral hops. A little too bitter for style with some hops. Pours amber golden with good head and lacing. Tap at brewpub.

Pours golden with some head and lacing. Bitter and smokey. Some sense of malt and hops, lots of campfire for sure but smoke dominates. Tap at brewpub.

Very good for style. Rocks that wonderful line between pale ale and saison. Call it farmhouse or whatever. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Bitter finishes with light sourness. Tap at brewpub.

7.6/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7.5

Location: Draft at Right Proper, 5/24/14

Aroma: This one has a clean and hoppy nose, with some fruit and yeast to it
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color, with a white head, and some spotty lace
Flavor: Clean and lightly bitter, fresh flavor, with a nice yeast component
Palate: It has a light/clean feel, average carbonation, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: Tasty stuff. There's a consistency to the flavor/yeast profile of all the Right Proper beers I tried that works really nicely.

2oz pour at the brewery pours a hazy deep amber with a lot of creamy off white head. Nose has a lot of meaty smoke, earthy, roasted mushroom, a little sun dried tomato, over baked bread. Flavor is very very meaty, like beef jerky, straight smoke, burnt cheese, caramel, a little medicine, smoked carrots. Full, meaty finish.

12oz glass at the brewery pours a clear gold with some lacing white head. Aroma is mild for a triple, candy, tropical fruit, dried citrus peel, mild pepper. Flavor has more candy, some white grape, pineapple, some soap, a little clove. Full bodied. Could have used more bretty-ness.
