16 ounce can into lager glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit fruity/yeasty in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good balance of pale malt, corn, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, corn, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal yeast notes present. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.25%. Overall this is a delicious American-style pale/light lager! All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt, corn, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV. A very enjoyable offering. I doubt it meets the low calorie/carb requirements to be a true light lager, but this is still a spot on style example.

Incredible aromas with amazing balance and complexity of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and pale malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge passion fruit, papaya, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, guava, berry, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of passion fruit, papaya, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, guava, berry, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this is an insane NE DIPA! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and pale malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Insane levels of juicy/fruity hops with a bit of dank; great malt balance, never overly sweet/heavy feeling for the ABV. The quality level of the NE style is identical to the best ones out there right now. Never overly harsh or drying, with just the perfect amount of bitterness. A highly amazing offering.

Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, light caramel, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.25%. Overall this is a fantastic IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the increasingly bitter/drying/resinous finish. Insanely dank and vibrant on hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering.

The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a good pace. Light messy sliding lace.
The aroma had some toasted malt up front. Light biscuits/breadiness. Some nuts, light caramel/toffee malt base and then balancing coconut.
The flavor leaned towards the toast initially and then opened up into the sweetness of the mix of the nuts to the coconuts. Light aftertaste of the nuts and coconuts. Finish was quick with the nuts and the coconut.
The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under with a good sessionability about it. Some carbonation. ABV felt as good as projected.
Overall, really nice brown ale. The coconut adds a nice touch of making this a bit more interesting.

The appearance was a dark black color with a tan foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light lace.
The aroma had some cocoa powder, milk chocolate, cake/biscuit with some roast and then sweet and tart blueberry. Light coffee bean and a touch of vanilla.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side and bringing about some light roast, coffee and vanilla making a good effort to blend into the mix. Slight cake to roasty to blueberry-like aftertaste. Quick malty sweet and blueberry finish.
The feel was about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt good. Fairly smooth along my tongue.
Overall, to me, I thought it was like drinking a blueberry chocolate muffin. Of course, I’d love to have this again.

The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts up front playing with some light cinnamon spice and earthiness. Light bready/pie crust/somewhat like biscuits.
The flavor blended the sweet to the spice fairly nice and added the bready/bun-like/biscuit sort of taste to it fairly nice. Aftertaste was sweet with the malts and had some light cinnamon. Finish was quick, somewhat sweet.
The feel was almost a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt good. Spice seemed to balance the sweetness to pull down any possible cloying effects on my tongue.
Overall, it’s like drinking a cinnamon bun. Who said drinking brown ales aren’t fun? Ha, drink this, we’ll see what you have to say about brown ales then.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Flavor has grass, flora and citrus with a bit of sweet grain backing. Flavor has a good amount of grass and citrus with a bit sweet grain and flora underlying.

Can. Pours cloudy orange, large off white head, dissipate to nice residual and great lacing. Aroma is sharp piney grapefruit, dank citrus pith and mango, faint garlic. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, dank and juicy. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Perhaps somewhat harsh, but otherwise a pretty solid attempt at an NE style DIPA.
