About
Black Acre Brewing Co. is a small batch brewery located in Irvington, Indiana. The idea for Black Acre initially was conceived in 2010 due to our love of brewing, great beer, and the beer community at large. We created Black Acre with the goal of contributing delicious and unique beers to the community in which we live.

We hand craft our ales using a custom fabricated 3 barrel electric brewing system. Distribution is limited through our in house tap room sales, where both pints and growlers are available.

Visit the Black Acre Garden, Irvington's newest outdoor drinking space located at 5529 Bonna Avenue. The family and dog friendly Garden features a variety of Black Acre beers on tap with plenty of seating on the new deck, and guests invited to carry or order in food.

Draft - Fruity and citrus hops. Clear gold with a rich white head. Fruity hops and a nice fruity finish. Solid, but nothing like a lager.

Bottle. A- Chai tea, tobacco, nutmeg, spices, cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Cocoa, chai tea, tobacco, roasty, dry, spices, peanut butter, nutty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, nutty finish. O- Had this following the Stone Chai Stout. Two Chai beers.....who’d have thought. This one was a little less spiced and had a peanut/nutty taste to it on the finish. Unique. Tasty.

Draft. Brett, orange, caramel malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet citrus malt and moderately dry hay/brett flavor. Nice body. Less acidic than the regular.

Draft. Earl Grey Tea, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with moderate head. Sweet citrus, tea, coriander, wheat malt, and hay flavor. Great balance and body. Excellent.

Saucy Intruder Rye IPA from Black Acre Brewing Co.

Can. A- Orange, perfume, rye. A- Burnt orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Oranges, pine. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Not a whole lot of rye but it seems to cut down on the bitterness. Not super exciting but decent enough.

Draft: Hazy yellow with barely a ring of head. A little furniture polish/lemon in the aroma. It has an out-of-place, cashew/nutty flavour under the citrus. An odd one.

Draft: Copper-amber with a foamy tan head. Caramel scent...leafy. Taste is caramel malt, lemon.....a bit of coffee-ish bitter. So-So....just feels unbalanced....

Draft: Very hazy yellow with a small white head. Lemon-drop, pineapple aroma. Taste is sour lemon, citrus....a strong acidic bite.... Very sharp and bright. Really nice.

Draft: Pours black with a small tan head. Roasted peanut, chocolate aroma. Taste is more of a roasted peanut and shell than peanut butter, but it’s tasty, nonetheless.......nice roastiness and richness.

Draft: Clear, coppery, with a small tan head. Caramel, a little peat in the aroma. Taste is caramel malt, a hint of nut and a very light chocolate malt note. Tasty.
