Brouwerij het Veem bestaat sinds 2015 en is gevestigd in Vershal het Veem op Strijp S in Eindhoven. In deze hal wordt de brouwerij omringd door andere ambachtelijke eet- en drinkgelegenheden. De Vershal, tevens rijksmonument, werd vanaf 1942 door Philips gebruikt als opslag van voornamelijk televisies en radio’s.

Bij Brouwerij het Veem brouwen en verkopen wij niet alleen bier, maar geven wij u een totale bierbeleving. Bij ons kunt u genieten van heerlijke bieren uit zowel onze eigen brouwerij als uit andere brouwerijen uit binnen- en buitenland. Deze zijn te nuttigen in ons proeflokaal, maar neemt u ook gewoon mee naar huis vanuit onze winkel waar wij ruim 700 bieren verkopen.

Wat Brouwerij het Veem écht uniek maakt is dat onze brouwerij in het proeflokaal staat. Er wordt dus ‘live’ gebrouwd terwijl u van uw biertje geniet. Natuurlijk is het mogelijk om op de momenten dat er gebrouwd wordt mee te kijken met onze brouwer en vragen te stellen over het mooie proces dat bierbrouwen heet.

Bottle at home, darker brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, caramel, fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, caramel, fruit, malt, alcohol. not too bad.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark yellow-ish to orange, golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty fruity and slightly yeasty spicy as well as wheaty malty aroma with slight muesli character, notes of yellow stone fruit, apricot, mirabelle, peach, a touch of oat flakes. Taste is dry, papery, hoppy, yeasty spicy and yeasty fruity, hints of cardboard and caraway, widely disguised hints of apricot and mirabelle; lingering, almost disgusting, yeasty spicy and papery finish; some alcohol. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Promising nose, initially tolerable taste, hardly drinkable due to the abhorrent finish - drain pour.

Orangey colour with lasting thin head. Good malty base with a touch of caramel. Lime zest citrus element adds plenty of bitterness. Well balanced.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', best before May 2023. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a large, dense, almost stable, beige head. Roasty-malty, rather fruity, a bit resiny aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, tropical fruits and light blueberry. Gently sweet, quite roasty-malty, fairly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, hazelnut, lots of tropical fruits and a touch of blueberry, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, minimally resiny finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good one!

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty fruity and slightly wheaty malty aroma, notes of dried banana, light hints of tropical fruit, papaya, mango. Taste is slightly dry, wheaty malty with subtle residual sweetness, yeasty fruity and slightly yeasty spicy, hints of dried banana, a touch of orange, mandarine, some black pepper, clove, weak tart-ish undertones. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to coarse, prickly carbonation. Very interesting yeasty fruity flavours, not that banana dominated as usual, refreshing, sadly minimally overcarbonated - good!

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tumbler. Slightly unclear pale golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma wheat, yeast, lemon, banana, cloves. Taste medium sweet, light bitter and sourish, wheat malt, banana, lemon, banana, yeast, cloves notes. Medium body, watery exture, average carbonation, sweetbitter and sourish aftertaste, refreshing, light metallic notes, lingering spiciness till the end, nice.

Clear golden with white head. Grainy with some skunky wet and floral hops. Sweet, biscuits, some caramel, citrus peel. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carb.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, pale malty background, notes of pine, some spruce, resin, a touch of pine needles, hints of lemon, a touch of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is crisp, bitter, piney and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, pale malty basis with very little residual sweetness, notes of pine, lemon peel, some grapefruit, orange peel, a touch of pineapple. Oily, minimally watery texture, smooth and dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp, refreshing, drinkable - good.
