Originally known as Mr Scrumpy, we earned a reputation for creating the Original Cider Slush – serving proper still scrumpy cider from a slushie machine. The absolute perfect drink on a hot summer’s day. Delivering this modern cidery marvel from a converted horse box embodied our mantra of putting a modern twist on tradition, and this helped shape what would become the core of everything we do. No pun intended.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought events across the world to a sudden halt and with them, our business and livelihood. It was a moment that forced us to pause and rethink our brand, our strategy, and our direction. Out of the ashes, Core Cider was born: a forward-thinking craft cider brand combining modern ideas with traditional techniques, without being tied to old-school rivalries.
Today, Core Cider is proudly independent and committed to making cider that’s bold, refreshing, and unmistakably British. We champion creativity, collaboration, and craft – working with top-quality fruit and keeping innovation at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s our signature slush, classic scrumpy, or something entirely new, we’re here to shake up the cider scene one bottle, pint, or frozen pour at a time. Now we’re ready for the next chapter.
Acknowledging tradition doesn’t mean being bound by it. This is craft cider for the here and now.

Panda at home, thanks to the Bearded Avenger, 09/11/2025.
Deep beetroot purple with little in the way of a head.
Nose is berry pulp, light sugars, perfume.
Taste comprises mixed berries, blackcurrants, straw, berry compote.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Not terrible but I'd never had guessed apples were involved!

Keg at Fossil Thief, Gunwharf Quays. Clear ruby red. A few micro bubbles randomly dispersed on top of the beer. Aroma is fruity, with a cough drops edge. Flavourwise it has sweet fruits with a slightly more apple edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Overly sweet but expected that.

330ml can from HOTM. Hazed orange colour, white foam head and aroma of apple, barnyard funk. Taste is sweet, appley, some caramel, with farmyard funky notes, acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, medium sweet funky apple finish. Quite drinkable.
