Bottled (born 12/2007)
Golden color, not much head. Aroma is awful: rotten meat and wood. Very wood hoppy flavor and also BBQ pig smokey. Interesting how these flavors can be done with malts and hops.

Draught at the brewery. Pale yellow, small head. Citric nose. Sweet and fruity, fairly light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Tastes more or less like a lemony energy drink - which isn’t strange as taurine is used. Not for me...

Draught at the brewery. Clear amber, small head. Roasty and perfumy with notes of cinnamon. Evident crystal malt character gives it a slight hard edge. Dusty salty finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black with dense beige head. Fruity licorice aroma. Sweet with plenty of coffee as well as notes of plums and metal. The mouthfeel is sharp and the finish somewhat ashy. A little unbalanced.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale yellow. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel. The honey flavour is very slight, only adding a hint of flavour and no sweetness. Wheat flavour is evident. The low hop rate and bitterness along with clean malt character makes it perhaps quite a neutral beer.
