Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, light roasted, light to moderate hoppy, spicy, light to moderate yeasty, phenol, star anis. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, yeasty - phenol, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101207]

Bottle.Deep reddish colour with white head.Aroma is warming and spicey with taste of anis and berries,medium body and sweet flavor of caramel and malt.

Bottle. A hazy, copper beer with a beige head of moderate size. There’s a little citrusy touch in the toffee-ish maltyness.where there’s also some dried fruits. Quite sweet and alcoholic, both in aroma and flavor. The flavor has caramel sweetness, alcohol, a spicy, herbal touch, some anise notes and a touch of fruityness. Could use some more hops and bitterness. Full-bodied and warming. Drinkable indeed, but too focused on alcohol. Probably needs some food. 101006

Bottled. A murky dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and fruit as well as a light burnt edge, leading to a bitter finish.
