Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Hazy orange golden, golden foam. Aromatic flowery nose. Fairly dry and light (yet chewy) malt base. Light citric sour note, a hint peach, still a few hops left despite being a bit too old. Nice.

Bottle (bought at the Brauerei): A bit unclear, mid-sized fluffy head, slowly collapsing, metallic and barnyardy nose with grainy and bitter traces, bandaid too; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; harsh bitter-sweet finish. Poor, unharmonic brew.........

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a short foamy white head. Sweet malty and grainy, somewhat fruity nose with only a very faint touch of smoke-malt detectable. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Grainy malty taste with subtle fruity notes; sweet and faint bitter, minimally hoppy finish with very shy traces of smoked malt in the aftertaste. A mediocre Helles but a disappointing smoked beer (12.12.07).

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Sweet, moderately toasty malty and earthy nose with caramel, liquorice and a light nutty touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty taste with caramel and the distinctive nutty touch of some of the Meusel brews, accompanied liquorice and herbal notes; moderately sweet toasty malty finish with a light but balancing hoppy bitterness. Tasty and quaffable Doppelbock (23.01.08).

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a massive, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet malty, lightly grainy and biscuity aroma with a touch of wort and a distinctive, quite aromatic herbal hoppy blend. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft and pleasant, almost silky mouthfeel. Cara-malty, biscuity taste with a touch of marzipan; medium-dry, sweet-bitter finish with a good alcohol management and a soft but aromatic herbal hoppy touch. Balanced and not too sweet pale Bock (19.12.07).

Bottle (bought from the junior-brewer): Deep amber coloured, mid-sized, slightly lacing off-white head, moderate dark-malty, a bit roast-malty nose, backed by a malty bitterness; medium bodied, quite soft MF, solid sweet bitter flavour; a bit coffeeish and fruity in the sweet dark-malty finish. Decent stuff, one of the better "Meusels"....

Bottle (bought at the Brauerei): Golden with a greenish shine, clear, bigger quickly collapsing white head, sweet-grainy nose with some carats of bitterness; clean sweetish flavour, light bodied; faint illusions of bitterness in the sweet-grainy finish. Nothing unpleasant detectable,´with the exception of the stupid name, but a bit sweet and boring.........
