Bottle. It pours an unclear, brown body with a decent but diminishing beige head. The aroma has a very disturbing sourness, sure this one must be infected, as well as dried fruits and some dusty notes. Really lemon-sour in the mouth, rather thin-bodied, with a little sweetish touch and some roasted notes. Lasting, sour finish. Well, I like my Christmas beers on the sweet side, and not on the extreme sour side like this one. On the other hand, I don’t think it was intended to make an infected brew. Scheisse! (080426)

50 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy orange with a white head. Light yeasty aroma and mild citric. Flavour reveals that the beer is infected, light citric note. Does not taste like a bock in anyway but has some Belgian yeast flavour and a slight mixed malt profile. In addition it is infected.4-3-3-2-7=1.9

Bottle. Pours a copper, clear body with an off-white head. The aroma has a pleasant fruityness, caramel, some roasted malt and a slightly sour touch. Roasted, fruity and a bit sour flavor, leading to a quite bitter finish. Medium body. Not sure if the sourness is intended, but the beer was not past BB-date. Both the sourness and the hop profile is unexpected from a dunkler bock, but I’m only deducting points for the sourness. Quite refreshing in a way, but mediocre. (080229)
