In addition to providing great craft beer and food, BreakRoom Brewery showcases expert craftsmanship and love for woodworking throughout. Every piece of wood has been carefully cut, sanded, stained and installed within BreakRoom Brewery. Upon entering BreakRoom, you can take in the 40 foot bar made of ribbon stripe sapele wood and a piece of 300 million year old petrified wood inlaid upon the bar for all to see, touch and enjoy. Sunlight from the skylights highlight tables throughout the space, which are handcrafted from various species of wood and uniquely designed. Reclaimed barn wood from a farm over 150 years old frames and covers the outside of the brew house. Used barrels from friends at Journeyman Distillery have been made into light fixtures, which hang from the 30-foot ceiling. Original wooden trusses have been restored and highlight character from the building’s past while paying tribute to its urban setting.
Following in the steps of the unique handcrafted surroundings, the hand-crafted BreakRoom Brewery beers are sure to impress and offer something for everyone.

Enjoyed on tap at Breakroom Brewery in Chicago, IL while eating dinner with my lovely wife. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being kind of a light IIPA, didn’t really come across like one. Nothing outstanding about it, just decent.

Enjoyed on tap at Breakroom Brewery after a tough day. This is the best offering from the brewery yet. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a light white head. Aroma of light yeast and coriander, delicate and light. Taste is great, lemon, citrus and honey are the prominent ingredients, very easy drinking. Best one yet.

Growler fill from Breakroom Brewery, enjoyed at home while watching game 5 of the Bulls vs Cavs series. Feeling like this is not going to end well. Appearance is a cloudy gold with not much head. Aroma of light wheat, rather weak. Taste is OK, nothing really sticks out in this one though, it’s just decent.

Purchased at Breakroom Brewery in Chicago, IL in crowler form, enjoyed at home on a cold early May Saturday with my cat at my side. Appearance is a slightly cloudy gold with a robust white head. Aroma heavy on the tropical fruit, along with a bit of citrus, smells fantastic. Taste is very nice, not too bitter and fruity elements come out well with this one. It’s not too fruity that it would be a juice though, just nicely done.

Enjoyed on tap at Breakroom Brewery on a relaxed Saturday afternoon after the sun just came out. Appearance is light cloudy gold with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast and light malt, standard for the style. Taste is nice, as advertised, nice yeast profile and bready. Pretty good stuff.

Enjoyed on tap at Breakroom Brewery in Chicago, IL, first beer at my neighborhood brewery! Appearance is pitch black, small light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee, with some roasted notes and light caramel. Taste is pretty good, chocolate and vanilla come through as the primary ingredients, good stuff!
