Bottle from a local Asian supermarket. 14.5%. Sweetish mild melon nose. Neutral mild beginning. Hints of fruity melon. Smooth and quite neutral, fresh, not too deep but nice in the body with a mellow fragile aroma. Smooth and slightly sweetish aftertaste. Crisp and mild with hints of melon, but not too deep or aromaful. Easy to drink with hints of alcohol. ok.

Cheap little bottle at home. Pours syrupy yellowish. Nose is decent plum and berry. Tastes of mostly plum, some melon, honey, hint of rice and alcohol. Touch syrupy and sweet but not overly so. Fine little sipper glad my bottle is minuscule though prefer my umeshu in small doses

72cl bottle. Pours clear with a slight yellowish tinge, no head and aroma of rice, melon. Taste is similar, rice, melon with woody, earthy, grassy notes and boozy alcohol. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite OK.

Bottled. Very pale pinky colour with no head. Aroma is mild tart wood, some alcohol, slick sweet rice notes as well as some mild minty notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, wooden and slightly alcoholic with some mild strange acidicness to it.

Bottle, 72cl. Pours with a light yellowish color to an else clear body. Cellar, cooked rice and apples on the nose. Some boozy hints, even though it’s only 13,5% ABV. The flavor has a distinct fruityness to deal with the rice, and then the alcohol kicks in adding an extra dimension. Well, that might lead you to think this is a complex and superb sake, but I don’t feel it that way. Slighlty warming on the palate. A drinkable one indeed, but not worth a detour. 111105
