Grabbed a bottle while walking dogs, it’s easier to get sake ticks than beer if I plan on drinking at home in my neighborhood. Pours a murky pale greenish. Nose is odd rice and sour citrus. Tastes of pears, lychee, lime soda, rice, and simple syrup. Sweet but not cloying. Overall just odd and not all that pleasant.

Another Oregon sake how does this keep happening to me. Anyways bottle drank on train out to long island, since greg brought it along I knew it was fairly cheap. Pours yellowish water. Nose of alcohol and rice. tastes of alcohol, rice, floral, plastic, and light melon.

Bottle, 720 ml. Slightly yellowish tint on oil liquid. Dusty, earthy nose, rice, lemon, esters. Quite acidic flavor, peach and lemon, rice, ice, some minerals, sawdust, grass. Quite complex and very much yamahai. RIch, oily, silky body. Very good.

Murky yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy citrus, lemon, lime, moderate rice. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, grapefruit, lime - citrus peel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20120423]

Trader Joe’s label on this one. Pours a fizzy clear white. Aroma is weak... some faint booziness is about it. Flavor is very sweet up front... a nice blast of pear and table sugar. Alcohol and fizz take over down the home stretch. Interesting, but not my thing.

720 ml bottle. Dusty, earthy aroma, spicy, with wood, rice, pears, and pepper. Clear and slightly oily looking. Fruity flavor, big on bartlett or bosc pears (western, not Asian), with lots of rice and nuka (the leftovers dredges), pepper. Solid, full body. Interesting, and somehow rather unsophisticated for a ginjo--rather country, traditional: yamahai style of brewing, for sure. Nice.

Unclear light medium orange red color with a average, frothy - fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy , strawberry, rice water. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, strawberry, artificial. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy - lively (sparkling). [20100925]
