Bottle (courtesy of EithCubes!) Very dark amber coloured, small lacing off-white head; sweet malt, dark malt, raisins and a tinge of roasted malt in the aroma with a small metallic tinge;sweetish-bitter flavour, a bi oily; warming, fruity-sweet finish, becoming drier towards the end. Well quaffable Bock, could be a bit more hoppier.............

Bottle: deep golden coloured, big fluffy white head, quite stable; sweet malt and barley in the nose; mild, sweetish flavour, soft MF; sweetish, grainy finish with a late delicate bitterness. A clean, decent Export. (Thanks to EithCubes!)

(bottle, thanks to EithCubes !) Clear, pale golden colour with a bubbling foamy white medium-sized head. Soft sweet malty nose with notes of cereals and herbal hops. Soft bittersweet flavour, light to medium body, ok carbonation. Slightly papery malty taste with a light bitter and hoppy finish with a tinge of metal.

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a small tanned foamy head. Toasted malt aroma with dried plums and hints of hops. Rather sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium to full body, smooth carbonation The taste reminds of biting into a mellow German Schwarzbrot with sugar beet molasses. Dry and bitter, slightly sour and lasting finish with a malty and fruity aftertaste. Complex and quaffable Bock. Many thanks to EithCubes for this gem !

Bottled(500ml). -dark brown coloured with medium creamy head, mild hot-chocolate nose, sweet malty and light chocolate and caramel aroma with some chestnut notes, nice hopbitter finish

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty aroma. Very sweet flavor, brown sugar not caramel. Watery palate. This a good beer but not a good bock.

Das Etikett sieht ziemlich billig ausm das Bier richet grasig-herb. Der Antrunk und der Mittelteil sind mittelherb mit mazligem Unterton, das Ganze schmeckt ein wenig wüst. Der Nachgeschmack ist wässrig, wenigstens ist noch ein wenig Herbe vorhanden. Ein wenig metallern isses auch noch, Oettinger lässt grüßen. Der malzige und sehr würzige Geschmack fallen positiv auf, was den Eindruck durch das Aussehen des Bieres und der Flasche stärkt. Sehr schön ist bei diesem Bier die Verbreitung des würzigen Aromas im Mittelteil im ganzen Mundraum zu erkennen, sehr angenehm. Bei so einem perfekten Geschmack fällt natürlich jede Unstimmigkeit auf, so auch hier, die wenn auch nur leicht vorhandene Bitterkeit im Nachgeschmack stört ein wenig. Trotzdem ein verdammt gutes Bier, nicht sehr süffig, dafür umso mehr zum genießen. Test vom 30.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,13,10,11,13,14 - 12,65

Die Brauerei ist anscheined stolz, eine regionale zu sein und will nicht Deutschlandweit verbreitet werden, so lese ich auf jeden fall den Hinweis auf der Rückseite, der bei Bieren wie Bekcs wohl nicht stehen könnte:"[...]denn ihr Zwickauer Pilsener wird ganz in ihrer Nähe[...]gebraut". Frisch, grasig und hopfig riehct das Bier, das ein wenig trüb im Glas liegt. Der hopfige Antrunk wird schnell von einem bitteren Aroma überholt, welches im Mittelteil und in Teilen den Nachgeschmack dominiert. Eine feine Würze kommt im Nachgeschmack dazu. Im Glas sieht man die etwas hellere Farbe dieses Schwarzbieres, die Schaumkrone hält nicht wirklich lange. Leicht malzig und metallern riecht das Gebräu, im Antrunk ist zum Glück keine metallerne Note zu vernehmen. Mild ist dieses Bier definitiv, Kohlensäure dürfte allerdings schon etwas mehr drin sein. Zu dem leicht hopfig-herben Geschmack gesellt sich im Mittelteil ein röstmalziger Geschmack, der sich im Nachgeschmack weiter verbreitet. Dann allerdings kehrt der am Anfang wargenommene Duft auch wieder auf, es schmeckt leicht metallern. Solides Schwarzbier. Test vom 27.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,11,9,12,9 - 9,45
