Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a touch of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel - as well as light notes of smoke. I think it should be listed as a smoked.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Moderately sweet strawy malty and slightly sour-doughy nose with shy herbal hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Mildly malty strawy taste with very discreet hoppy notes; moderately dry, slightly sweet and sour-doughy finish with faint hoppy bitterness. Not a must. 17.XI.09

Courtesy of bierkoning!
Deep clear copper brown color, good beige head. Toasted sugar, some malts, iron and grassy hops in the nose. Crisp carbonation, reasonably malty for 4.5% beer. Flavor has light smoked malts, metal and some grassy hoppyness. Sweetish notes in the aftertaste. Interesting and very Bavarian.
