500 ml bottle. Beautiful clear, reddish brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel and a sharp bitterness with a hint of smoke. Fine balanced sweetness with a pleasant bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle at KØ09. Mild alcohol and caramel aroma. Cloudy dark amber colour. Small creamy head. The flavour is malty and slightly spicy. Hint of cream. OK bitterness in the finish.

Draught at KØ09. Mild caramelly aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Unstable creamy tan head. The flavour is mildly bready, some cream. Soft creamy mouthfeel. Hint of alcohol in the finish, but well-rounded.

A very nice looking and tasting beer but the aroma is very bland. It’s one of those Imperial Stout I can drink several of without getting tired of it.

CBF09. From tap. Pours almost clear and golden brown with a small off-white head. Mild fruity and slight yeasty aroma. Roasted malt, slight metallic. Spiced and bitter finish with a distinct breadish touch. Nice one.

Bottle. A hazy, yellow-orange beer with a white to off-white head. A real gusher. Milky sour start on the nose, fruity, with some citrus. Chalky, sour flavor on the fruity side, with some hops giving a little bitterness. Rather short finish, with some chalk and sourness. Medium body, dry and slightly sourish. A quenching beer, still drinkable, but surely infected. Had another bottle the next day, with the same result (090430)

Bottle 50cl. @ home.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, dusty, bock alike aroma, sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090326]

No head, full stop. Red-chestnut beer, still. Oxydized, sweet bready and fruity. Prematurely aged Doppelbock. Some hops, no bitterness to speak of, rest is pure sweet liqueurish fusels. And as flat as a pancake, despite beign well-bodied and even viscous. Don’t know what’s wrong with it - bad keeping? Certainly not as bad as Jensen seems to think, IMO. But one thing is sure - this is NOTHING like American beer, let alone Barley wine.

Cloudy deep amber with a medium off white head. sweet aroma with grainy, malty and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet with malty an caramel notes. had grassy hops as well. Finished sweet.
