50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Sweet caramel malty, light fruity yeasty aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavoured, classic Belgian yeast note and mild fruity touch before the finish. Ends medium bitter and somewhat dry. Different kräusen, but nice.

Bottled. Black with a brown shine under a brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, coffee, and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of roasted malt hitting the toungue first, then comes notes of fruit and coffee, before the alcohol sets in warming the palate and burning the throat.

(On tap) Pours completely opaque black with a light brown head. Distinctly sweetish aroma of roasted malt - but not really burned at all. Lots of alcohol though. Quite full-bodied with plenty of sweet malts and dried fruit - quite pruny - but again not really burned malt at all. Sweetish alcoholic finish. A very friendly and smooth Imperial Stout. 130908

aroma:something sour-sock / sour-milk in there that i don’t like, apart from that major distraction, decent stoutish aroma. looks : pours dark, dark brown. black in the glass. thick brown-light-brown head. flavor:balanced, ends up with a delicious , little bit sweet very roasted flavor, the beginning is a bit more tame and slightly fruity. also a very subtle sourish thing (milk from aroma) that i don’t like. the flavor after the initial impression, however, is good. palate is a little bubbly, if they could get rid of the sourmilkish thing, this would’ve been a great imp stout. as it is, still good, and a beer to be enjoyed slowly.
