Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit and caramel, as well as light notes of prunes. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and light notes of butter, leading to a lightly bitter and grassy end. Not your usual California Common.

33 cL bottle. Pours black with quickly disappearing head which looks brown. Fruity and malty aroma, wineous notes. Taste is hard roasted malt blended with bitterness and liqourice. Chocolates appears once the warms up. Finish is dry bitter. Good, but not the best there is of this type.

Bottled. It pours so dark brown it is almost black, with no floaties and a dense brown head. Coffee, licorice and burnt or heavily roasted malt in the aroma, some vanilla too. Maybe a hint of alcohol too. The flavor is coffee, licorice, tar and burnt malt. Full to medium body and quite dry. Long coffee-ish finish with hints of licorice. Very nice, but I would loved some fruity hops in it as well. (061102)

Black color; huge thick brown head. Smells like an end of a drinking night in Copenhagen; there is some roasted malt and vanilla. Medium body structure, pretty good caramel and malt taste, with some roasted malt and liquorice, but on the sweet side; good chewy malt, with some fruitness; correct bitterness. Not too much emotional, but honest Imperial Stout.

A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light roasted note. The flavor is very sweet - a bit too sweet for me, with an OK roasted character.
