Bottle. An unclear, amber beer with a small, light beige head. Cooked vegetables, caramel and fruityness on the nose. The flavor follows the same path, with caramel, cooked vegetables and fruityness. Medium body, lacking quite a bit on fullness. A bit low on carbonation too. Caramel finish with cooked vegetables. A rather boring one, and not very interesting. 111112

Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours dark amber with a small creamy white head and lacings. Sweet and nutty. A bit of caramel and grain. Vaguely yeasty. More like a Dunkler Bock really. Ok

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark chestnut colored body and a small, dense, beige head. It’s lighlty spiced on the nose, with some dark malts and a little dried fruits. Not very complex. That goes for the flavor too. Rather ordinary, with some spices thrown in for good measure. Full to medium body. A pleasant beer though, but I’d rather spend my money on a fine Belgian dubbel. 111105

cloudy brown, smooth light brown head. aroma is caramel, malts, bitter caramel, stale hops. Aroma profile leans towards a brown ale. flavor is caramelly, malty, flowery hoppy, sweetish, chocolate cake, quite a lot of hops but not agressive like american barleywine. Very solid though. sweet malts. Flavor lends a lot from a brown ale i think, but the brew is quite a lot more solid than your usual brown ale.
