Poured from 750mL bottle (2022 vintage). Dark brown with small light beige head. Light woody tartness with light rum, mild infection, not immediate drain pour bad, but will take a long time to sip if finishing it. Average.

2022 bottle. Dark brown. The aroma has a nice bit of coconut, vanilla, and it smells like it's going to be a bit tart. On the palate, it's got some tartness, and it has a medium body with a bit of nuttiness. There's a touch of rum, too. But yeah, that bit of tartness.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has some harsh rum barrels, cocoa, tart dark fruits, and a touch of coconut. Flavour has somewhat messy rum barrels, cocoa, tart dark fruits, and a touch of tartness. The slight tartness indicates an issue; the coconut and cocoa are very muted, and the barrels are also rather muffled. Needs a lot of work.

500mL bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. Dark malts and a Quebec-style infection on the nose. Flavour definitely has a bit of an infection, or maybe deliberate tartness, though not the most egregious, some roasted malts, notes of spiced rum. Based on the description it's hard to say the tartness here was intended. Not particularly complex and the mild tartness, infection or no doesn't really help the beer.
