Description
Legend Brewing Company is a commercial microbrewery providing true premium beers to many of the best pubs and restaurants in Richmond and other areas of Virginia since January, 1994. Our mission is to bring to our customers the finest and freshest brews as flavorful alternatives to mass-marketed mainstream products. We're one of the few craft breweries in this region producing both lagers and ales, which require different yeasts and maturation conditions. All Legend beers are unpasteurized and made from only two-row and specialty barley malt, hops, water and yeast.

Draft at Capital Ale House, Innsbrook. I must say that this was a touch better than their regular brown ale. The beer was Redish-Brown in color. The aromas were nutty, with caramel and a touch of hops (though not too much). It was a bit thicker and creamier than the regular version.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown pour with a nice creamy head. This beer is very smooth and creamy! The alcohol content is pretty well masked within this brew. Every well balanced. I could see myself drinking this one often (if only it wasnβt a special brew!).

Draft at Legend brewery: Coffee and bacon bouquet. Black pour with a dark brown head. Tastes of coffee and soy sauce on the edges. A curious beef fat flavor is also present and distracting. Finish is smoke coupled with fat or lard.

Draft at Legend brewery: Creamy lemon aroma. Milky gold pour with a thin head, good lacing. Tastes of banana creme pie and coriander. Wheat grain finish, with more pronounced dough and hop notes when warm. Delightful and refreshing!

Draft at Legend brewery: Lemon peel, moss, and thistle aroma. Brown color with a medium yellow head, great glass coating. Taste is tangy lemon, orange and bark. Subdued moss finish that assumes a hoppier character as the glass warms. The higher alcohol content isnβt the least bit noticeable. Quite a hoppy brown ale and I love it!
