Description
Established in 1913, Ölgerðin is the Icelandic word for 'brewery', and, as the name suggests, brewing was the company’s main focus from the start. The brewery is named for Egill Skallagrímsson, a Viking Age poet.

500ml can. Clear straw/amber body. Light malt, grain and hints of orange aroma. Sweet plum, prune, malt and hint of herbs and grass. Inoffensive and anonymous. Bought at Vinbudin, Reykjavik and shared 20.08.12 @Rating Session

Canned (thanks omhper). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is cardboard, grass, wood, herbs and dust. Flavour is cardboard, some floral and herbal notes with bigtime hay.

Aroma feels like a pale lager too old. It has starchy malt, cardboard and hints of citrus. Flavour has citrus, some grass and cardboard. Too old.
