Description
Folkingebrew was founded with the aim of brewing beer that we like to drink ourselves. That is why we make beers with a distinct character in taste, aroma and color.

Because of our passion for good beer, we try to get a little better with every beer and push our boundaries.

Folkinge, the first part of our name, refers to the location where we started brewing: in the 'backyard' of a beer shop on the Folkingestraat in Groningen. Brew refers to the American craft beer culture, where we get our inspiration.

Between 2018-2025 client brewer, became a brewery in 2025 but the large batches, which are canned, are still brewed at Baxbier.

0,44 l blikje. BB 04/25. Like dark yellow orange juice with a small white head in the glass. Yeasty tropical aroma, sweet pine and resin. Taste starts also tropical hoppy, more stone fruity than grape, some resin, pale malt. Alcoholic with sweetness. Thick texture. Below average carbonated.

Can at mancave Bunnik. Unclear pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste sweetish hoppy, tropical fruity. Okay for a triple IPA but I still don't see the point of triple IPAs.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of passion fruit, stone fruit, citrus and white wine. Pours murky dirty orange color with soapy yellow head and fair lacing. Taste starts juicy tart tropical and stone fruity with yoghurty and floral following with smooth mouthfeel. Medium to full body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. That’s the smoothie, folks…

0,44 l can. BB 02/26. A darkest red brown in the glass, small one finger beige head. A lot of coconut on the nose, choco and malt in the background. Taste starts with more coconut, roasted malt and alcoholic. Choco and malt with boozy elements and vanilla leads the second part. Sticky sweetness to the end. Low carbonation. Strong stuff.

Can from Kihoskh drunk at home (13/07/2024) - Bright fruity notes of gooseberry and sweet tender white grape, zesty citrus lime and lemony action washing in, juicy fruity with a dense sweet creamy malty mouthfeel and body, some bitter citrus rinds, dank edged robust hoppy finish. Lovely.
