Draught at the brewpub. The best of the three I had. Darkish color, about halfway between a regular weizen and a dunkel. In that, and in the slightly sour taste, a bit similar to Schneider. Full body, with a bit of sweetness to go with the sour. Rich and tasty, with lots of yeast taste. Full aroma as well. A very good, slightly different from the usual weizen.

Draught at the brewpub. Very pale yellow, unfiltered. Ok head. Great nose, full of yeast, malt, and some fruit and some sweetness as well. Like the maerzen, though, the nose was better than the taste. It was decent, but there just was not enough malt. A bit sour too, which might be due to the remaining yeast. That alone was ok, but it needed more malt and a touch of sweetness to balance.

Draught at the brewpub. Medium amber color, unfiltered. Small head. Full, fruit and malt aroma that is just excellent, but doesn’t quite translate into flavor. Flavor is thinner than expected, with not enough malt. It is grassy, without fruit or sweetness, and with a good dose of hops, which is nice, but there is not enough malt there to balance them. Ends with a bitter, grassy finish.
