50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Toasted malty and lingering caramelish. Light breadish. Bitter and mild toasted finish.

Bottle. Sweet caramel malts with a touch of hops and spice. A balanced Festbier until the finish which has a weird aftertaste.

Copper color with small head and nice lace. Quite malty, toasty, with some herbs and liqourice in the mix. Well balanced. Medium to full body, slightly chewy. Nice one

Getreidiger, laff malziger Beginn. Mild, in Teilen wässrig, Langweilig, wenig intensiv, dann sogar wässrig. Dafür erfrischend, die Malznoten bleiben bestehen. Gähn! 8/7/9/6//6

Herber, gering hefiger Beginn. Erfrischend, hell, rund. Geringe Bitternoten, getreidig, starke Karbonisierung. Weich, etwas herber werdend. Angenehme wenn auch milde WĂĽrzigkeit. 9/8/9/9//9

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average frothy white head. Grainy aroma with sweet caramel malt notes and an explicit honey touch. Taste is somewhat monotonous and a bit flabby, has caramel malt, some hay and spelt, slightly dry finish - not hop induced but spelt invoked. Solid average.

Bottle. Unclear medium brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, toffee, butter, a bit like a bock but with no alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery / oily, carbonation is soft. (030607)

Die Abtei Marienstatt braut das Bier selber, hat aber anscheinend keine Abfüllanlage, weshalb auf der Flasche nur steht: "Abgefüllt für...", wahrscheinlich von der naheliegenden Hohenfelder Brauerei. Leicht hefiger, getreidig-malziger Geruch. Feinherber Antrunk mit minimal würziger Note, etwas später setzt ein zuerst verwässertes Malzaroma ein, das sich später stabilisiert. Im Mittelteil aber hat das Bier einen Durchhänger, die untertönige Würze ist auf einmal der alleinige Geschmecksträger, schafft es aber nicht, dass Bier harmonisch zu gestalten.Im nachgeschmack setzt die Herbe erneut ein, diesmal ist der malzige Teil etwas röstmalzig und nicht verwässert.
