(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 002 - BB 11-05-18, from Pien, 20180503) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, chocolate and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, spiciness, ash, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, burnt and bitter. A bit weird but nevertheless tasty burnt brew.

Drunk from bottle. Smell of fruit, some citrus. Aroma of malt, some paper, hops, a faint of grass. Maltiness dominates. Medium bitter, very dry palate. Lively carbon, light body. Sort of fresh, but paperiness is nasty.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Vantaa. BBE 12/10/18. Colour is slightly cloudy orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Pine, caramel, some fruits, some hops and malts. Simple, clean but little bit of boring.

330ml bottle from Pien. BBE 11.05.18, Batch #2. Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, licorice, chocolate and salmiakki. Taste is smooth, earthy and slightly roasty with some licorice, salmiakki, hints of burnt notes and very dark chocolate. Finish is smooth and slightly sweetish with some earthiness, hints of burnt malts, roastiness and salty licorice. Okay, quite smooth porter with some licorice notes.

33cl bottle. Thx oh6gdx. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Star anise, lots of cinnamon in aroma. Spicy, xmasy. Cinnamon dominates, anise, cardamon. Light body. Really like the spicyness here.
