Tap at Õllesummer. Pours hazy brown-ish with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sweet and sour. Flavor is sweet and sour, some nice spiciness, malt and some fruits. Overall: weird one and too sweet even for me, but it is drinkable. It doesn’t have the acidic notes that I usually hate in (macro) kali, so extra point for that.

33cl bottle from SIP veini- ja õllepood, Tallinn. Pours almost clear amber with a lasting, off-white head. Somewhat malty and yeasty aroma with notes of overripe fruits and hints of caramel and hay. Medium sweet with a bit strange earthy flavours, hints of acidity and a fairly mild bitterness. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Fairly drinkable.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB marking unreadable, at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20150313) The beer poured black. Its head was white ring on the side of the glass. Aroma had burnt malts, chocolate and liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, sweetness, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A rather good imperial stout but the burntness dominated a little bit too much.

33 cl bottle @ Bryggeri Helsinki, BBE 01.06.2015
Aroma has odd licorice tones, hay and soy sauce. Flavour is dry with very dark chocolate and cocoa. Rather dry and somewhat straightforward but I seem to enjoy this.

Aroma has toffee, caramel and hints of berries. Flavour has bready malt, cranberries, some toffee and mellow mineral tones. Rather foamy palate. Mild, inoffensive but uninteresting.

33cl bottle from Drink shop, Tallinn. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, with notes of dark fruits, licorice, dark chocolate and hints of wood, dark bread and alcohol. Medium sweet with nice roasty flavours, well integrated alcohol and a balanced bitterness. Easy to drink and quite enjoyable!

0,33L bottle, BB 30.03.2015. Pours black with brown head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is roast and dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, roast, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and smoke. Finish is sweet and dry bitter. Overall: very simple brew, but I like it. Just don’t expect heavy hoppy imperial stout, or you’ll be very disappointed... Rating 7:4:7:3:14=3.6 Update 25.11.2014: had it again. Possibly different batch (BB is now 01.03.2015), but not sure (It is not that different, maybe I was just more high spirited last time I drank it). It feels more messy and Genika DNA is more evident. Still great bang for the buck (it is the cheapest Estonian craft), but not as enjoyable as first bottles I had. Rating 6:4:6:3:16=3.5 Update: opened another bottle from BB 30.03.2015 batch and it has aged really good. It’s now one of the best craft brews made in Estonia. No "Genika DNA", just great (and simple) iStout, with dark fruits, roast, dark choco, etc. Drinkability is really good. I should have bought at least a case of this....
