Brown, hazy with a minimal white head. Aroma of malt, earth and some smoke sense. Light bitter with a mote smoke and malt end. Not bamberg beer.

33 cl.bottle @ home, BBE 24.??.2024 Aroma has metal, smoke, some sweet rye tones. Flavour has smoke, mild tar, sweet malt. Finishes with minerals. Smoke aromas are not in the Sclenkerla levels in terms of strength. But not far from that. Good, the combination of sweetish rye malt and smoke eats some drinkability here though.

Draught @ IHME Aroma is strong on coffee; very nice roastiness. Also a sweet malty feeling. Flavour is dry with coffee, ash, tobacco. Lingering salty licorice in the finish. Some buttery notes occur in the middle of the glass. Unusual, very dry and ashy stout but still has some flavour components of east european porters. Not sure if I like this or not.

Tap at Juova, Helsinki. Color is very dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Dark chocolate, some distant hints of licorice, some bready malts.... tasty and balanced. 8.7% nicely hidden.

0,25l on tap @ Juova. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with some coffee. Flavor is dry grainy roasted malts with coffee, some alcohol, hops. Very good.

A small taste @ the flagship Alko, press blind tasting. Pours slightly cloudy copper with a medium head. Aroma is slightly tart malts with vinous notes. Flavor is slightly tart malts with some berries, some hops. Weird.

Keg @ Kitty´s, Helsinki. Poured pretty much black in color. Thin light brown head. Inviting aroma of salty licorice, notes of chocolate, ashy notes and roastedness. Flavor follows suite, short bitter finish that grows as the beer warmed up a bit. Delicious porter all in all.

(Keg at Kitty's, 20231019) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, ash and grass. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, earth, dark chocolate, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, hoppy and bitter. A pleasant burnt brew with classic hop notes.
