Description
Hearsays about the disappearance of Hiiumaa’s beer are by far an exaggeration. Kassari Holiday Centre has revived the local beer brewing, which originates from the knowhow of our grandfathers. The brewery combines all the past beer tricks and tips and traditions, not to mention the teachings of the neighbours and the villagers. Thus, a drink is made, which is as sly as a native of Hiiumaa with their jokes. Besides tasting, you can get an overview o the history of Hiiumaa’s beer, its traditions, and brewing in the beer house.

We do know one thing though—Hiiumaa’s beer will appeal to every beer enthusiast!

Bottled 330ml (from Hiiumaa).. Kassari Hele Ölut Amber colour, small white head. Sweetish, light diacetyl and herbal hops. Light-bodied. Malts, light diacetyl, herbal bitterness. Some faults.

Bottled 330ml from the brewpub. Dark colour and small beige head. Toasted, sweet and ashy aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted and ashy with some licorice. Drinkable brew.

Murky red colour, tiny head. Butterscotchy and hoppy nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramalt, diacetyl, pine and hoppy bitterness in the yeasty flavour.. Messy.

Hazy yellow color and small white head. Wheaty juniper aroma. Medium-bodied. Wheat, banana, juniper, alcohol in the flavour. Good brew.

Cloudy amber colour, small off-white head. Resiny hops in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramalt and resiny hops. A bit harsh. Bitter.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

33cl bottle from Prisma, Tallinn. Pours clear, dark brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, some bready notes and dark, dried fruits. Sweet and slightly acidic with slightly messy, malty flavours. Fair enough.

33cl bottle from Prisma, Tallinn. Pours clear golden with a white head. Grainy and slightly fruity aroma with slightly earthy notes and hints of toasted malt. Sweet and rather smooth with mild, malty flavours. Quite drinkable.
