bottle - Pours amber with a one finger head. It smells of caramel malt and mild smoke. Now the good - I thought the smoke flavor was at just the right level. It was quite noticeable without being overpowered like another smoked beer I had that seemed more like liquid smoked sausage. I preferred the balance of the Z lager. The bad - the underlying beer needs to be more substantial. It’s thin, sweet, and lacking, like a very average amber. The finish is fairly sweet with just a lingering hint of smoke.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Very dark opaque brown, minimal head. Aroma of caramel and fudge with a slight metallic edge. Sweet and light bodied with notes of chocolate and tar. Some very light phenols lurk on a distance. Low bitterness.

Sweet perfumy aromatic aroma. Darker hazy wheat beer color, light brown and vanilla. Looks almost like hazy ginger ale. Some swirling stuff in there but not a whole lot, there isn’t any sludge on the bottom of the bottle. Thin creamy froth head. Bitter tart wheat beer impact. Very refined creamy carbonation. Except for the tartness, cannot really taste any pomegranates. Slight building medium length bitterness on the finish. Some hop and bitter grapefruit rind impact. Interesting. Has the same taste as many unfruited wheatbeers that have been hopped a little.

Medium beige head. Deep dark barely translucent body. Deep, firm straw and malt aroma with notes of licorice. Sweet straw licorice and malt taste with a dry edge to it. Soft, smooth mouthfeel, and yet the dryness is kind of sharp. No real aftertaste. Good (0.355l bottle at Oliver Twist.)

Not bad but nothing special. This is a medium bodied American wheat with some sour pomegranate added. The flavors do work well together, and this is very drinkable. Aroma has some wheat. Sour, wheat flavor. A good summer beer.

Thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. This is a solid but unspectacular beer. The flavor and aroma have choclate and roasted malt with oatmeal taste. Black and medium palate.
