Bottled. Hazy golden, violently gushing brief head. Aroma of grain and sweet licorice. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and light body. Fruity with plenty of sweet licorice. Slight salty bitterness. Not what you expect from a licorice beer, but after less than fancy presentation it is a well balanced, pleasant discrete beer.

Draught @ [ Stora ol - smaa bryggerier ] @ Malmo Brygghus, Bergsgatan 33, 214 22 Malmo, Sweden.Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sugar, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120420]

Bottle courtesy of Gnoff. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small creamy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with soup stock, liquorice root, bread, golden syrup, sweat and hints of caramel. Taste is sweet, tiny salty and malty with old bread, liquorice root, viola, orange zest and caramel. Mouthfeel is round and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and slightly bitter with bread and liquorice root. Liquorice in all the wrong ways…

(5.3%) Hazy orange colour. Aroma has some sweet maltiness and fruity notes, especially lychee. Low-medium carbonation makes it easy to drink. Sweet and fruity and first. Very dry and bitter in the finish.

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours an amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty earthy hoppy caramel aroma with weak hints of burned rubber. Fruity malty hoppy earthy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter caramel finish.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with gnoff. BB 26/07/2012, batch # 42. Orangée, col blanc. Arôme de réglisse qui est en effet bien présent sans être trop en avant. Malt épais aspect pâtissier. En bouche, liquoreux avec une réglisse présente et qui au final devient un peu écœurante, même en ayant partagé la bouteille en trois. Goût personnel, et une épice qui se prête peut-être plus dans un style plus foncé comme un stout. Pas mauvaise en soit, mais la réglisse devient de trop. Le palais quant à lui reste épais voire pâteux de grains.

clear yellow ,small white head. mild lager aroma, slightly watery hoppy. flavor is flowery hoppy, sweet hoppy, slightly sweet malty, lagerish. a little sweet for a good lager.
