Glasshouse Beer Co
Microbrewery
in Birmingham,
West Midlands,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: Glasshouse Brewery Tap
Established in 2018
Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.
GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Keg at Brewdog seven dials. A hazed pinky orange coloured pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is milky wheat, peach, yogurt funk, raspberry and cream. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light tart raspberry jam, vanilla. Palate is soft, doughy, light tang, moderate fluffy carbonation.

Keg at BD Tower Hill. Dank but juicy raspberry (?) aroma. Cloudy neon pinky red. Bubbly translucent white head clings to the rim. Sugary sweet berries. Sourness creeps in but does down into the finish. Medium bodied. Pithy creamy mouthfeel. Flat-average carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Another winner for me even if it feels Moor like a boozy smoothie than an Ale.

On tap at Glasshouse taproom. Silky smooth hazy IPA. Just right amount of juicy feel. Just right amount of bitterness. Just right amount of citruses. Great! One could even forget about high voltage.
