Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.
Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.
GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Tap. Friend of Ham, Leeds. Hazed, yellow gold. Thin, off white foam. Nose has yellow melon. Unripe berry fruit. Some seltzer. Mineral. Clean malts. Hint of lemon peel. Taste is dry, mineraly, and pithy bitter. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Weird back of the mouth carbolic soap thing going on. Lingering soapy bitterness to finish. Sets off great, but is overall a bit soapy and weird.
