Description
Founded in 2017 Three Hills Brewing is experimental at it’s core. We produce small batches, in a variety of styles, pushing boundaries to create the most interesting drinks we can for our customers to enjoy.
Our HQ is based in the countryside of Northamptonshire where we have 600l system, counter pressure canning machine, laboratory, barrel ageing program & cold store.
In 2020, we expanded into The Outpost, a new brewery with taproom on the Bermondsey beer mile.
Three Hills entered liquidation in May 2025.

440ml can from Left Field Beer, Solihull. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, surprisingly light, herbal, light piney, mango, light pepper spice, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

440ml can bought from the Offie and drunk at home. Pours mid-brown, a little thin, with a splotchy little khaki head. Big vanilla custard aroma, some chocolate, burnt sugar. Very sweet taste, loads more vanilla, sweet eggy custard. There’s no bitterness in the finish, sweet all the way through, with a touch more chocolate in the aftertaste. Light to medium body, heavy carbonation. I really liked this.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 17/05/24. Murky orange topped with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is bitter orange, grass, pineapple, mandarin, soft malts, light pine flicker, papaya. Taste comprises orange zest, grapefruit, pine needle, mandarin, guava, splash of mango. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come lightly dankened hop bitterness. Tidy and easy drinking DIPA.

Easy tropical, slight pineapple and coconut, maybe a touch of stone fruit on the back end. Not much in the way of body.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Slightly thin malts but plenty of creamy sweetness. Bright crisp cooling pine with a lively hop spice segues into lovely bright Nectaron stone fruits. Stalwart Citra goodness underneath. El Dorado exotics on the back end, a little Sakura on the back end, becomes more obvious right at the last gasp. Crisp finish leaves a hop spicy linger. Well hello! Three Hills right back to their best. This is a bright crisp hop juicy delight, feather light. Bravo.

Chelmsford Craft Beer Fest. Keg. Opaque dark brown black beer, small tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Rich dark malts, good dark chocolate, ice cream van chocolate syrup underneath. Smooth earthy coffee underneath. Modest and very mellifluous smooth smoke. The marshmallow sweetness comes through well on the end, that red berry candy fruit sweetness, and where the marshmallow intersects with the dark malts, there lies milk chocolate. A smooth and slightly viscous finish. Delicious and welcome return to form for this series.

Keg at the Chelmsford Craft Beer Festival. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts, but a nice light creamy sweetness. Crisp pine. Nice bright tropical fruits that suggest hoppage other than what was used (Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado). Crisp fruity finish. Bright and refreshing!
