Built on the site of the old Gaythorn Gas Works,The Gas Works Brew Bar is a new concept from the team behind The Dockyard pubs. With an industrial heritage, we’ve brought a rustic feel with a modern twist.
Located in the recent development of First Street in Manchester, we’re taking our love and passion for all things beer to the next level.
Our crown jewel is the in house brewery. Sitting on full display for all to see will be crafting an ever increasing range of our own beers to be served direct from tank to tap.

Tap, half pint. Tasted on the 27/01/2018 at "Gasworks Brewbar", Manchester (England). Hazy golden colour with a low white head. Aroma of yeast, grapes, sugar and some citrus. Taste is slightly fruity and hoppy with a yeasty sweet finish. Next one please!

Keg @ Gas Works Brewbar, Manchester. Hazy dishwater-amber and plenty of activity in its palate. Has a dry finish with some citrus fruit evident.

Cask @ Gas Works Brew Bar, Manchester. Pale golden with a thin head. The fruit is there but understated, however its pale ale styling is very good texture-wise. Has a dirty nose.

From cask at Gas Works Brewbar, Manchester, with OGJ 07.01.18. Clear golden. Dense and persistent white head and lacing. Fina aroma and taste of pale malt, biscuits, marmalade and sweet citrus. Smooth, but slightlty waterish, mouthfeel.

Keg at the brewpub. A light hazed dull golden coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is buttery tangy pale malts, apple, grassy, toffee. Flavour is composed of pale. Malts, jammy fruits, apple, chewy caramel. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, chewy. ,. Pretty bad.

Keg at the brewery bar. A hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is doughy wheat, banana, spicy, little sorachi maybe. Bready malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet doughy wheat, banana, grassy hop, little buttery, sorachi ace. Dill. Palate is semi sweet highish carbonation, crisp finish. Not bad.
