Tap at the Start Craft Beer Bar, Budapest. Poured a hazy reddish amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is malt, fruity metallic hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a smooth rich malt, light fruit, pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Didn’t look so great but was nice and fresh and tasted fine.

Draught at Neked Csak Dezső, Budapest, 31-12-2016. Hazy, amber-golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, lightly toasted notes, floral hops. A bit earthy for an IPA. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus fruits and the odd earthy note. Fine IPA. However, the earthy or dusty note could be disturbing.

Keg at Legfelsőbb Beeróság, Budapest. Hazy copper colour, small head. Generous tropical fruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and peach, some mango. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at Élesztö, Budapest. Near black, small head. Piney yeasty nose with some chocolate. Very sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Yeasty chlorine, sugar and pine. Low bitterness. Problematic.

On tap at Legenda Sörfőzde Pub, Budapest. Pours black with small beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, some hops. Sourish taste, interesting twist, but somehow I doubt that was intentional, more likely developing infection. Finishes bitterish.

On tap at Start Craft Beer Bar, Budapest as Zodiak Red IPA. Pours amber, off-white head. Caramel, malts, lots of rye, hops, fruity, citrus. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Quite nice, rye dominates, can’t remember if I tasted anything similar.

Bottle @ Neked Csak Dezső!, Budapest. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. High carbonation. 110716
