Bottle. It’s an unclear, dark orange colored beer topped by a dense, fingerthick off-white head. The aroma is piney and grapefruity, with some caramel maltyness and bread in the back. I wouldn’t mind less maltyness, and more punch in your face hops would be good too. The bitterness level is quite nice, dealing easily with the light sweetish malts, but as in the aroma, there should be more of the hops evident. At least when considering the name of the beer. It’s medium bodied and semi-dry, with a soft and pleasant carbonation. Long hop dominated finish with a solid malt backbone. Sure, it’s a nice beer, but as mentioned, I think it overdoes the malts and forgets a bit about the hops. 160605

Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch, citrus and grass. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus, grain, caramel, and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a finger-thick off-white head on top. The aroma is rather butterscotchy, with a piney, peachy fruityness in the back. Some minutes in the glass helps on the aroma, but it’s still too heavy on the diacetyl. There’s a nice bitterness in the mouth, both initially and in the end, with fruityness and pine cones. Caramel malts and bread. Medium to full body and nicely carbonated. Lasting fruity, bitter finish with too much diacetyl. Guess this one would’ve been nice if if wasn’t for the diacetyl. 160604

Poured from a bottle at Humle & Bier. Patchy beige head, dotted spots on the glass. Next to clear golden. Rich aroma of grainy, dried fruits. Dried fruity flavours on a backbone of grainy malts. Lasting bitter ending. Well bodied. Rather easy to drink. Well made (Verkstedet, Kulturhuset i Tromsø 28.05.2016).

Taster, on tap at Humle & Bier . Golden body with a wheat haze. Spotty lacing from a remaining low white head. Mid-dry banana aromas with citric hints. Nicely blended taste profile of ripe citrus, wheat and banana. Rounded wheat fruity ending. Fine bodied. Well crafted version of the style, not overly sweet (Verkstedet, Tromsø Kulturhus 28.05.2016).

33cl bottle from Kjeller 5, Tromsø. Pours clear amber with a modest off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, tropical fruits and hints of pine and pale malt. Moderate sweet with mild, but nice fruity and hoppy flavours and a pleasant bitterness. A bit to thin and watery to be really enjoyable. Tasty and refreshing it is, but would like a little bit more body. Guess it’s sessionable, but I think I would get tired of it pretty fast.
