ABV: 4.2%. Cloudy dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, coffee, caramel. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, coffee, sweet dark malt, caramel, light sour coffee notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181017]

17/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, berries and caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness, touch of sour. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, rich coffee, caramel and hops. Nice long coffee finish.

Cask at the Sun Hotel, Warkworth. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light caramel and nuts. Taste has an earthy bitterness. Light nutty finish.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2018, Ealing, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel.

Cask at ORB, Darlington. Yellowy gold colour, creamy white foam head leaving lacing and malty aroma. Taste is sweet malty, grain, fruity, some yeasty notes with tangy citric bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. OK

5/6/2018. Cask at the Head of Steam Quayside, Newcastle. Pours very dark brown with a ruby tint and an average sized tan coloured head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, wood, blackberry and a slight smoked edge. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium to full bodied, slick texture, very soft carbonation. Lots of body for its modest abv. Enjoyable.
