Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours opaque orange with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of mango, orange and vanilla. Taste is sickly sweet, like sweet vanilla custard. Didn't finish it.

Can direct from the brewery. It pours cloudy pink - red with a fluffy off - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, fizzy candy, sweet raspberry, raspberry sherbet, pic n mix, rhubarb & custard sweets, raspberry candy, raspberry mousse, sherbet dib dab and mini milk ice cream. The taste is initially crispy, snappy and a touch of sharpness, plenty of sweet raspberry, raspberry candy, sherbet dib dab, fizzy candy, raspberry ripple, touch jammy, pic n mix, lactic and natural yoghurt with a shirt, dryish finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. It definitely reminds me of cremola foam, so is very well realised. Probably a bit sweet for me to return, but as it novelty it's spot on.

Can direct from the brewery. It pours crystal clear yellow - blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is green, herbal, lemon vibes, lemon verbena, lemonade, aniseed, sherbet and some piss. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, some green bitterness, damp grass, herbal, straw, dull aniseed, pithy, zesty, lemony, grapefruit, toasty grain, peppery spice, floral and some soapiness with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Despite the addition of sorachi ace (which I don't normally like) this is pretty good. Crispy and quenching.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - milky yellow with a fluffy white head. Nose - lemon, ash and biscuit. Taste - more of the same really. Not sure where the ash note is coming from. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle, sweet then some zest to cleanse it a bit. Overall - ok.
