Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy golden - yellow with a lasting fluffy white head. The aroma is bright, sweet, juicy, definite lilt vibes, tangy pineapple chunks, mango, coconut milk and grapefruit juice. The taste is smooth, juicy, tangy, quite sweet, milk sugar, lemon curd, grapefruit, pineapple chunks, coconut cream, lilt and boiled sweets with a juicy finale. Medium body and average carbonation. Fun, but perhaps a touch too sweet.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy bright Moray Cup red wire a dissipating pinky - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy, plenty of red fruits, strawberry, raspberry, candy and boiled sweets. The taste is crisp, dry, sweet - sour, tart, tangy, pretty juicy, puckering, sugary, sour red fruits, strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, cola cubes, nip of acidity, slightly lactic and definite Moray Cup vibes with a short, tangy strawberry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Does exactly what it set out to do - a sour Moray Cup. Pure nostalgia.

Can picked up at JK Fine Foods, Aberdeen. It pours jet black with a decent off - white head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred, coffee grounds, dark chocolate, nutty and praline. The taste is smooth upfront, bitter - sweet, plenty of dark roasted malt, charred wood, umami, burnt toast, cacao nibs, coffee, chocolate covered coffee beans and a touch of peppery spice with a dairy roasted and drying finish. Average body, and fine, massaging carbonation. Decent in a cab, but would like to try the draught nitro version for sure.
