Description
Withnells Brewery is a 5 BBL brewery based in Preston. Opened in 2016 by Paul & Tom who had been brewing for a number of years previously in Withnell, creating the recipes which would become the current Withnell’s lineup. Using a custom built brew house & traditional brewing techniques with pioneering methods, the aim is to make a natural & authentic product that showcases the best in malt, hops, water & yeast.

Ales are currently available in 9 gal casks, 5L mini kegs, & 500ml bottles.

Bottle from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel, light orange, light spice. Taste is light sweet, vanilla and caramel. Light spice linger.

Bottle from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours lively golden with a thin off-white head. Aromas of light biscuit and faint lemon. Taste is more of the same. Light metallic note on the finish.

Bottle from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of grassy hops, fruit salad, pale bready. Taste is similar, quite bitter, some berries. Chewy finish.

Thin beige head on a vivid gold body. Citrus, hoppy & spiced aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a clean back. Pine, stone fruit,mango & tangy tastes. Served too cold.

Can from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours hazy yellow with a thick white head. Quite lively. Aromas of light spice, lemon and of citrus, sweet dough and floral hops. Taste is more of the same with a hint of vanilla. Clean finish. Nice.

Can from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of generic citrus. Taste has a bit more going on. Bitter, tropical fruit, pomelo. Bitter finish.

Large tight white foamy head stayed on a hazy golden coloured body. Minimal citrus aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with a lively back. Orange, bitter/sweet citrus, tropical fruit & some strange medicinal taste. Quite tasty actually - just a bit mixed up.
