0,33l can from Alko Ruoholahti, enjoyed @ home. Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with chocolate and alcohol. Flavor is sweet roasted malts with chocolate and whisky, some hops in the finish. Good.

33 cl can @ home, BBE 04/2025 as Lough Gill Barrel Aged Series 2022 #1 Aroma has licorice, some soy sauce and whisky tones. Flavour has licorice, whiskey, some peaty notes. Perhaps soy sauce too. The whisky is a bit too stingy here - and too dominant on the flavour side. Otherwise good.

Can from Gourmet Haus in Redwood City. Pours deep brown, with very minimal brown head. Garnet highlights. Aroma leans into the vanilla and coconut for a gentle sweetness. Baker's chocolate in the back half as it warmed. Flavor is chocolate and vanilla, with soft coconut. Moderate whiskey barrel shows on the flavor.

Pours an almost clear coppery amber colour with a small diminishing beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, light caramel and red berry fruit. A light sweet taste, sweet malts, caramel, red berry fruit flavours with a light drying and moderate to light bitterness.

Can at home, from an online peddler whom I can't recall, 17/03/24. Token Irish beer on St Paddy's day! Lighter shade of black with a tan head that thins edgewards. Nose is cacao nibs, toffee, almond, chocolate praline, dark malts, light roast. Taste comprises candied fruit rinds, coconut shavings, light roast, almonds, chocolate, light spice, shades of dark chocolate Bounty Bar. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Fun enough easy drinking Impy stout ... comes in well below the stated 10%.
