Founded in 2016 by James Ward, Lough Gill Brewing Company aims to restore the lost tradition of brewing to Sligo town, a small town that once hosted 5 breweries. The idea stemmed from an ever-growing passion for brewing delicious beer and a unique opportunity of various skill sets and business synergy.

Aroma: marmalade, grapefruit, biscuits and orange zest. Taste: orange zest, grapefruit, bit grainy and piney. Resinous mouthfeel. Next one please!

Can at home. Opaque black color, average sized brown head. Aroma and flavor are malts, milk chocolate, lactose lightly, bourbon, moderately bitter but also quite sweet. Decent body, decent to medium carbonation. Okay.

Can at the cotteridge convention bottle share. A dark black brown coloured pour with a loose light tan head. Aroma is nutty hazelnut, earthy roast, light Ash. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, dired fruits, light woody, tannin, waxy, ok.

Not Cotts 23. Aroma is smokey with chocolate. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Tang6 berries followed by creamy chocolate. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long finish.

BB 10/2024. black color, small dark coffee colored head. smells vanilla, fudgy, marzipan, bitter chocolate. nice to very nice smell, marzipan forward. full body, light carbonation. tastes vanilla, marzipan, nutty, some coconut. finishes subtly sweet with notes of coconut, marzipan and vanilla notes. nice, not overly special, rather simple even, coconut and vanilla notes mainly, lacks complexity, bourbon barrels not noticeable.

Black with lasting head from the carbonation. Aroma of toasted pecan and caramel. Silky mouthfeel with a fine carbonation. Bittersweet. Dark chocolate. Caramel. Coffee.

Hazy pale yellow colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of citrus. Especially lime zest. Quite well balanced.
