Founded in 2016 by James Ward, Lough Gill Brewing Company aims to restore the lost tradition of brewing to Sligo town, a small town that once hosted 5 breweries. The idea stemmed from an ever-growing passion for brewing delicious beer and a unique opportunity of various skill sets and business synergy.

Can at Someday: pours lightly reddish yellow color (not like a raspberry beer of American make which is usually quite red). Aroma is of raspberry syrup, hints of vanilla. Taste is somewhat sweet, with light raspberry taste and minimal sourness. Meh.

Ribena with no real head. Aroma of raspberry fruit. Flavour is a mix of berries, strawberries, raspberry, blueberries. Dry bitter fruit, lingering fruity base.

Brownish black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee malt. Flavour is coffee malt, oat base, sugary milky, dry roast coffee finish.

440ml can at home. Deep black creamy pour with a thin brown head. Nose is milk chocolate, vanilla, some slight caramel notes. Flavour is mostly chocolate, creamy milk, no hint of the alcohol. Soft carbonation.
